ABOUT RCF
Responsible Community Farming
At RCF, we are making efforts to change the way we grow, buy and distribute our food as a community by making fertilizer out of plastic and organic waste disposed of local restaurants.
We created a genetically modified bacteria called ENZOA that can decompose such waste in an effective manner inside our RCF composting plant currently located at Brunswick Park.
All establishments using the RCF system are awarded an RCF Badge, which allows them to grow their ingredients inside the state of the art RCF Plant Automated Farming Area to then pick up and be served as fresh, healthy dishes at the restaurants.
INTRODUCING ENZOA
Enzoa is a genetically modified enzyme, extracted from the black fly soldier that can decompose organic matter and from the wax worm which is capable to break down and decompose PE plastics rapidly.
Enzoa eats and then transforms said waste into a fertilizer that can be used to grow vegetables and fruits on rich, new land.
Here's how it works:

RCF COMPOSTING PLANT
Our Responsible Community Farming Composting Plant gives local restaurants with an RCF Badge the opportunity to grow their ingredients nearby, cutting transportation times and costs.
It also doubles as a community space where people can see how the fertilizer is made and where the food is grown.

PROJECT TIMELINE
Redesigning Food Culture
The RCF development plan focuses on making the community and the produce coexist in a single place, starting with the creation of parks and community spaces for people to enjoy and engage with local businesses in 2019 until 2050 where the system will become a part of the apartment buildings where people will live and grow their own food.
